Pearls Before Swine - the wizard of is
Water water 136
Unreleased demo tapes and live recordings from 1967-1976
Disc 1:
Disc 2:
Notes:
This 2
CD set of previously-unreleased Pearls Before Swine recordings featuring 60's
and 70's demos, out-takes, studio recordings, works in progress - many songs
that have never appeared on any album. Disc Two features a complete early 1970's
live concert performance, as well as other vintage 70's live recordings and
radio sessions."
The liner notes by Tom Rapp also provides interesting information on the history of each track.
As a listener comment tels it all:
"It's
here, it happened: a cornucopia of Pearls Before Swine artifacts saw the light
of day on two discs culled from the shoeboxes Tom Rapp kept under his bed for so
long. Whether Pearls Before Swine has been underrated, ignored, forgotten - it
doesn't matter: those who knew the band firsthand or a generation later will
hold this set close to their heart, as it is a personal gift from
Tom."
